ABOUT ME.

TIMMY THOMPSON (any/all) is a multi-hyphenate African-American creative from Wayne, New Jersey. His passion for the performing arts arose when he was 12, and now he is a proud graduate of the University of Michigan BFA in Musical Theatre program - Class of 2023! Here - in addition to singing, dancing and acting - he became enamored of such mediums as screenwriting, playwriting, lyricism, filmmaking, editing, color grading and producing.

“I’m a believer in the power of knowledge and the ferocity of beauty, so from my point of view, your life is already artful - waiting, just waiting, for you to make it art.” - Toni Morrison

I have always believed in the transformative power of the arts. Ever since I saw the 2013 production of Kinky Boots at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre, I knew that I wanted to make others feel seen the way I did sitting in that audience.

My goal as a student of the craft is to inspire the next generation of storytellers and create stories that ask questions about our social habits, hegemony and memory.

My goal as a student of life is to embrace it fully and be of service to others, always reminding myself that the simple joys and beauties in life are enough.
